Senate
Alongside the rector's office and the university council, the senate is one of the highest organisational bodies in the university. Its most important tasks are passing the statute, approving the curricula, participating in habilitation and appeals proceedings as well as making second instance decisions regarding study matters. The senate consists of 26 members and is made up of university members of all levels (university professors, junior faculty, non-academic staff and students). The senate's period of office is 3 years.
